Our Repurposing Technology uses squibs as a fuel source and transforms them into non-hazardous recyclable material. Reuse allows for exemptions to stringent Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulations. When squibs are used in our Squib Bird Cannon, the loud noise is harnessed to deter birds from sensitive areas.

WHAT ARE SQUIBS?
Aircraft Fire Protection Systems use Cartridges to extinguish an engine fire on an aircraft. These Cartridges also known as Squibs are regulated as an explosive material. This system is required for pilots to remotely break the seal of the fire bottle triggering the suppression system.

SQUIB WASTE DISPOSAL: FRAMEWORK
The Governing Laws
These explosive cartridges are regulated by the following groups:
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for waste disposal - thermal treatment of waste is prohibited without a permit
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) - requires registration of handling explosives unless the use has an exemption
Department of Transportation (DOT) - When shipping hazardous Materials
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) - Handling explosives on site
Local State Agencies
The Repurpose Innovation (RI) Advantage
Our Patent Pending Squib Bird Cannon technology in relation to:
EPA - Not classified as waste disposal. This technology utilizes reuse provisions supported by RI's EPA Interpretation Letter
ATF - RI has a special explosive device exemption
Limited Quantity Shipping with DOT regulations
OSHA - RI consultations for employee training and cartridge storage
Local State Agencies - RI consultation provided
